Job summary

Millennium Durham is seeking an Engineer to deliver an exceptional guest experience through proactive maintenance and collaboration with across teams. You will be the face of upkeep, ensuring comfort and safety for guests.

You will perform routine maintenance on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building systems, respond to service requests, maintain logs, and support energy conservation efforts while upholding safety standards.

Qualifications

  • Technical knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or building systems.
  • Relevant certifications or licenses preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, kitchen, laundry, and mechanical equipment.
  • Complete preventive maintenance tasks according to established schedules.
  • Respond promptly to guest room maintenance requests and service calls.
  • Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and perform corrective repairs.
  • Maintain hotel grounds, public areas, guest rooms, and back-of-house facilities.
  • Perform painting, drywall, carpentry, and general maintenance tasks as needed.
  • Conduct daily inspections of building systems and equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, fire, health, and environmental regulations.
  • Assist with emergency situations, including power outages, water leaks, and equipment failures.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs, work orders, and repair records.
  • Support energy conservation and sustainability initiatives.
  • Work collaboratively with all hotel departments to provide exceptional guest service.
