Job summary

The Los Angeles Marriott Burbank Airport Hotel located in Burbank, CA, seeks a dependable Steward/Dishwasher to support cooks and service staff by cleaning and organizing utensils, equipment and dining ware. Responsibilities include maintaining cleanliness and following health standards, with shifts that may include AM/PM and overnight hours.

You'll be expected to operate dishwashers, handle silverware finishing, and assist with overall kitchen sanitation to ensure a smooth guest dining

Qualifications

• Knowledge of how to maintain service-ware to complement guest experience.
• Ability to push/pull service carts weighing up to 600 lbs.
• Ability to read and understand English instructions and cautions.
• Ability to transport heavy objects through a crowded room.

Responsibilities

• Sort soiled ware for dish or pot machine.
• Wash ware and return to storage per standards.
• Keep dish machine clean and replenished with water.
• Polish/silver detarnishing as needed for appearance.
• Clean kettles, skillets, pots and pans promptly.
• Perform general cleaning per supervisor to meet health standards.
• Clean and dry floors to prevent slips.
• Separate linen from debris and move supplies as needed.
• Other duties as requested, such as spills cleanup.
