Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in cooking, food service, restaurant, hotel, or hospitality preferred.
• Food handler certification preferred or required as applicable.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Knowledge of basic food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food items according to established recipes, menus, portion sizes, and hotel standards.
• Prepare breakfast, lunch, dinner, and other food items as assigned.
• Ensure all food is prepared and presented consistently according to quality and presentation standards.
• Monitor food during preparation and cooking to ensure proper temperatures, quality, taste, and presentation.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation throughout the shift.
• Assist with opening and closing kitchen procedures, including preparation, cleaning, stocking, and securing equipment.
• Follow proper procedures for handling food, cleaning chemicals, knives, equipment, and other kitchen materials.
• Assist with catering, special events, group functions, and other food service activities as assigned.
