Job summary

Sonesta International Hotels Corporation is seeking a Cook for our Scottsdale, AZ kitchens. You will prepare and present high-quality menu items across restaurant service, breakfasts, banquets, and events, while maintaining food safety and presentation standards.

Ideal candidates have a background in fast-paced kitchens, a passion for hospitality, and the ability to work flexible hours including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in cooking, restaurant, hotel, or banquet settings is preferred.
• Knowledge of food preparation techniques and sanitation procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes, portions and standards.
• Support daily kitchen operations across dining, breakfast, banquets, catering, room service, events.
• Assist with prep tasks including chopping, cooking, plating, and station setup.
• Maintain consistency, quality and presentation across all items.
• Keep workstations clean, organized, stocked, and safe.
• Follow HACCP and health department requirements at all times.
• Monitor inventory and communicate needs to leadership.
• Operate grills, fryers, ovens, slicers, mixers and prep tools safely.
• Assist with setup/breakdown of meeting rooms and events.
• Support banquet and catering with food preparation for meetings and weddings.
• Transport food and supplies to service areas efficiently.
• Collaborate with chef and F&B team to deliver guest experiences.
• Minimize waste and improve kitchen efficiency.
• Contribute to a positive, safe, team-focused kitchen culture.
• Other duties as assigned.
