Job summary

McKibbon Hospitality is seeking a Cook to create exceptional dining experiences for guests. Responsibilities include kitchen setup, ingredient preparation, cooking to recipe standards, and maintaining a clean, safe work area.

You will also assist with inventory, ordering, and daily operations to support a high-quality service standard. The role emphasizes guest interaction, adherence to safety policies, and the ability to work a flexible schedule while contributing to a collaborative team

Qualifications

  • Valid food handlers card or ability to obtain one.
  • Lawful ability to serve alcohol and/or handle beverages.
  • Flexible work schedule.
  • Ability to prepare/cook according to recipes, quality and presentation standards.
  • Ability to operate a variety of kitchen equipment.
  • Physical ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods.
  • Knowledge of dining room service procedures and kitchen functions.
  • Effective communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome and acknowledge guests according to company standards.
  • Prepare ingredients for cooking, portion, chop and store food.
  • Cook and prepare quality food on budget.
  • Assist with ordering, receiving, and inventory as directed by management.
  • Set up, stock, and maintain work areas.

The primary objective is to create a personalized experience that will entice our guests to return and share their experiences. Your responsibilities include, (but are not limited to) kitchen set-up and station preparation prior to service and at the end of the shift, maintaining the condition of the service area and kitchen, as well as regularly interacting with guests.
