Job summary

McKibbon Hotel is seeking a Food & Beverage Supervisor to lead the restaurant and meeting-space operations, ensuring guests receive exceptional service and a consistent brand experience.

You will monitor quality, assist with budgeting and invoicing, and coordinate with sales and corporate teams on menus and events. Hospitality experience and staff training skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a beverage/food outlet.
  • Experience in a supervisor or managerial role is a plus.
  • Hotel establishment experience highly desired.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the operation of the hotel food & beverage outlets and meeting spaces.
  • Monitor food/beverage quality, brand and service standards.
  • Collaborate with sales to ensure meeting spaces are properly supplied and maintained.
  • Coordinate with corporate teams on meal planning and menus.
  • Assist Restaurant Manager with budgeting, expenses, and invoice input.

What Makes a McKibbon Hotel Food & Beverage Supervisor?As a key member of the hotel's restaurant team, the Food & Beverage Supervisor is accountable for the food and beverage outlet and meeting space. While the focus is to guide the operation of the food and beverage outlets. The Food & Beverage Supervisor is committed to guest satisfaction and providing a great experience for all guests.A Day in the Life:• You will move throughout the facility and monitor the action of food prep and serving areas to ensure that associates are meeting food and beverage quality, brand, and service standards.• You will control the elements that determine profit and loss of the Food and Beverage operations.• You will work with the hotels’ sales team to ensure that all meeting spaces are properly supplied and maintained.• You will coordinate with the corporate team in the planning of meals and menus.• You will work with the Restaurant Manager on administrative duties, including tracking expenses, maintaining profitability, and invoice input.• You will be responsible for maintaining the inventory of the Food and Beverage Department, like budgeting, food costs, coding invoices, etc.• Actively involved in kitchen and department head meetings• Handles scheduling for Food and Beverage Department• Participates in weekly BEO meetings overseeing; will be responsible for execution of all banquets from culinary, set-up, execution and staffing.• Training development of both Front and Back of House associates with emphasis on food presentation, preparation methods, guest service and overall quality of productEmbrace the McKibbon Guiding Principles: Think Bigger, Love Your Community, Do the Right Thing, Support Each Other, Make a Lasting Impression.Required Experience• An associate or bachelor’s degree is preferred• 3 years’ minimum experience in a beverage/food outlet• Previous experience in a supervisor or managerial position is a plus• Experience working at a hotel establishment (highly desired)• The ability to implement the established menu and service standards• The ability and drive to personify our culture in every interaction with guests and associates• The ability to perform initial and ongoing training of associates• The ability to deliver on the quality of service that guests deserve and expect• Brand Experience Preferred• The creativity to enhance sales in the lounge and food outlets• Understanding of safe work practices and initiatives to reduce or eliminate accident• Self-motivated, detail oriented and well organized with creative flair.• The ability to create a fun and supportive working environment• The ability and drive to personify our culture in every interaction with guests and associatesIdeal Skills & Qualities:• The ability to communicate in a friendly manner with guests• The ability to create a fun and supportive working environment• Keeping up-to-date with local events and tailoring Food and Beverage operations to enhance guests’ experience in the local communityPerks & Benefits Beyond the Basics:We know that hospitality starts from within, and that’s why we value the employee experience as much as we value our guests’ experience.
