Placements24 client in Paarl is seeking a charming Hotel Concierge to be the first point of contact for guests, providing expert recommendations and seamless service for dining, tours, transportation and event tickets.

The ideal candidate is an eloquent communicator with extensive knowledge of the local area and a passion for warm hospitality, able to coordinate with partners and maintain discretion at the concierge desk.

Qualifications

• Experience in concierge/front desk or guest services in hospitality.
• Excellent knowledge of local attractions, restaurants and culture.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
• Professional appearance, friendly demeanor.
• Fluency in English; other languages are a plus.

Responsibilities

About the Role

Our client is seeking a charming and knowledgeable Hotel Concierge to be the first point of contact for guests at their distinguished property in the picturesque town of Paarl . As the guardian of guest satisfaction, you will be instrumental in creating seamless and unforgettable experiences by providing expert recommendations and efficient service for everything from dining reservations and local tours to transportation and event tickets. The ideal candidate is an eloquent communicator, resourceful, possesses an extensive knowledge of the local area, and has a genuine passion for service excellence, embodying the spirit of warm hospitality.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome guests warmly, provide information about hotel services, and assist with check-in/check-out procedures as needed.
• Proactively offer recommendations and make reservations for dining, entertainment, local attractions, and transportation.
• Handle guest requests, inquiries, and concerns efficiently and courteously, ensuring timely resolution.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of local events, attractions, restaurants, and activities in and around Paarl .
• Liaise with external vendors and service providers to arrange services for guests.
• Maintain the appearance and organization of the concierge desk and ensure all guest information is handled with discretion and professionalism.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a concierge, front desk, or guest services role within the hospitality industry.
• Excellent knowledge of the local area, including attractions, restaurants, and cultural sites.
• Superb communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
