The role requires hospitality experience, strong communication, and the ability to work with various hotel departments to ensure an exceptional guest experience. Flexible schedules include mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Previous hotel concierge or customer service experience preferred.
• Friendly, professional, and outgoing personality.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of downtown Pittsburgh and surrounding attractions, restaurants, entertainment, and transportation preferred.
• Ability to remain calm and professional when handling guest concerns or emergency situations.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly as they enter and exit the hotel.
• Provide personalized service and assist guests with questions about services, amenities, dining options and hours.
• Offer recommendations and directions for restaurants, attractions, entertainment, and local destinations.
• Assist guests with transportation needs and luggage when necessary.
• Coordinate with Front Desk, Housekeeping, F&B, Sales, Maintenance, Security and leadership to ensure a seamless guest experience.
• Maintain a professional presence in the lobby and protect guest confidentiality.

Embassy Suites by Hilton Pittsburgh Downtown is looking for a friendly, outgoing, and service-driven Hotel Concierge to join our team!

As our Hotel Concierge, you will be an important part of the guest experience. You will provide a warm welcome, assist guests throughout their stay, and serve as a knowledgeable resource for hotel services, transportation, dining, attractions, entertainment, and everything Pittsburgh has to offer.

Here Is What You Will Be Doing Each Day

As a Hotel Concierge, you will:

• Warmly greet and welcome guests entering and leaving the hotel.
• Provide exceptional, personalized service to hotel guests and visitors.
• Assist guests with questions regarding hotel services, amenities, dining options, meeting spaces, and hours of operation.
• Provide recommendations and directions for Pittsburgh restaurants, attractions, entertainment, shopping, sporting events, and other local destinations.
• Assist guests with transportation needs, including taxis, rideshare services, airport transportation, and other local options.
• Assist with luggage, packages, deliveries, and other guest needs when necessary.
• Maintain knowledge of daily hotel events, group functions, VIP arrivals, special events, and activities taking place within the hotel.
• Anticipate guest needs and proactively offer assistance.
• Respond to guest questions, requests, and concerns in a professional and timely manner.
• Communicate guest requests to the appropriate hotel department and follow up to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Work closely with Front Desk, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Sales, Maintenance, Security, and hotel leadership to provide a seamless guest experience.
• Maintain a professional and welcoming presence in the hotel lobby and public areas.
• Maintain guest confidentiality and never disclose guest room numbers or other private guest information.
• Observe lobby and public areas and promptly report safety, maintenance, or security concerns.
• Assist with additional hotel and guest service responsibilities as assigned by management.

Safety Is Everyone’s Responsibility

The safety and security of our guests and team members is a priority.

The Hotel Concierge will be trained and required to follow all Hilton Safety and Security policies and procedures, as well as all Oliver Building Safety procedures.

Training and responsibilities will include:

• Hilton-required safety and security training.
• Oliver Building emergency and evacuation procedures.
• Fire alarm and emergency response procedures.
• Knowledge of emergency exits, evacuation routes, and designated assembly areas.
• Procedures for medical emergencies, severe weather, building evacuations, security incidents, and other emergency situations.
• Prompt reporting of accidents, injuries, suspicious activity, safety hazards, and security concerns.
• Assisting guests calmly and professionally during emergency situations while following established Hilton, hotel, and Oliver Building procedures.
• All required safety training must be completed and safety procedures followed at all times.

What We Are Looking For

Our ideal candidate is someone who genuinely enjoys helping people and understands that hospitality is about creating an experience, not simply completing a task.

We are looking for someone who has:

• Previous hotel, concierge, hospitality, or customer service experience preferred.
• A friendly, professional, and outgoing personality.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong guest service and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of downtown Pittsburgh and surrounding attractions, restaurants, entertainment, and transportation preferred.
• The ability to remain calm and professional when handling guest concerns or emergency situations.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• The ability to work independently while also being an effective member of the hotel team.
• Basic computer skills; previous Hilton systems experience is a plus.
• A professional appearance and demeanor consistent with hotel standards.

Schedule

Hospitality never takes a day off! Candidates must be able to work a flexible schedule based on hotel business needs, including mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.
