Job summary

Kessler Collection in Downtown Greenville, SC seeks a Communications Operator to ensure efficient internal and external communication for the resort, delivering attentive, courteous service to guests and colleagues.

You will answer calls, operate PBX and radio systems, dispatch for security and guest services, relay messages accurately, and support front desk and property operations while maintaining calm under pressure.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; hotel or service experience preferred.
• Flexible with long hours and shift variations.
• Sedentary work with occasional lifting up to 10 pounds.
• Must communicate clearly and courteously with guests and staff.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a busy hotel environment.
• Maintain a warm, friendly demeanor at all times.

Responsibilities

• promptly answer telephone calls with a standard greeting.
• Know PBX operation and function; transfer calls accurately.
• Record and relay messages; recall information for guests.
• Input wake‑up information into the system and confirm times to guests.
• Operate the resort two‑way radio system for dispatch and coordination.
• Provide information via paging system and radios during incidents.
• Assist front desk and other departments as needed.
• Maintain calm and polite behavior during emergencies or busy periods.
• Ensure a clean, safe work environment and complete end‑shift duties.
