Job summary

Drury Plaza Hotel is seeking a Kitchen+Bar team member to maintain prep areas and assist guests with friendly, professional service. You will support bartenders, help with food and drink service, and uphold Drury’s high standards of cleanliness and hospitality.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years old or older.
• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Completion of two years of college preferred.
• Ability to obtain and maintain all appropriate certifications per Company requirements.
• Ability to take written and verbal direction in English and speak English clearly.
• Ability to serve a wide variety of drinks in a fast-paced environment.
• Performs duties of prep cook or other positions as needed.
• Ability to handle money, make change and utilize office machines in normal day-to-day activities.
• Ability to operate machines and equipment used, including cash register POS software, dishwashers, kitchen equipment, etc.
• Excellent customer service skills; ability to communicate effectively with customers and all levels of team members; ability to diplomatically deal with difficult situations and people while exhibiting a consistent level of professionalism including bar guests and when leading other team members.
• Ability to support bartender with serving of alcohol beverages and food, but does not prepare, make, or pour alcoholic beverages.
• Ability to clean and maintain areas for which responsible.
• Ability to effectively and efficiently move around bar area.
• Ability to distinguish between different denominations of currency and make change.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the food prep and Kitchen+Bar area in a clean, organized manner.
• Assist guests with service and hospitality following Drury policies.
• Support bartender with serving of alcohol beverages and food as needed.
