Stonebridge in Walnut Creek, CA, seeks a Chief Engineer to oversee hotel maintenance operations, ensuring refrigeration, heating, plumbing and energy controls function efficiently. You will manage staff and contractors, ensure safety compliance, and drive on-time project completion to support guest satisfaction and smooth hotel operations.

The role requires 2–4 years in hotel engineering or maintenance management, with strong knowledge of critical building systems and hands-on leadership.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in hotel engineering or maintenance management.
• Strong knowledge of refrigeration, heating, plumbing, water treatment and energy controls.
• Proven ability to manage maintenance staff and contractors, including hiring, training and evaluation.
• Experience with budgeting, inventory management and purchasing for maintenance operations.
• Excellent problem solving and ability to handle emergencies with composure.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional and courteous guest service at all times.
• Supervise maintenance operations including refrigeration, heating, plumbing, water treatment, A/C, lighting and life safety systems.
• Monitor and manage energy consumption for efficiency.
• Oversee contracted services to meet hotel standards and guest expectations.
• Supervise maintenance staff including hiring, training, evaluations and scheduling.
• Ensure timely completion of all maintenance projects per specifications.
• Coordinate with Housekeeping and Security on operations, key control and safety procedures.
