Job summary

Tempo by Hilton Hotel Tucson Uptown is seeking a Chief Engineer to lead the Engineering and Maintenance Department for a new 144-room property in Tucson. You will establish preventative maintenance programs, manage a 3–6 person team, and ensure operational readiness across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and life-safety systems.

This hands-on leader partners with vendors, architects, and brand reps during pre-opening and beyond.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of progressive hotel engineering or facilities management experience.
• Strong leadership, team development, and safety program implementation.
• Experience managing capital projects and vendor relationships.

Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee all engineering, maintenance, and facility operations for the hotel.
• Develop and implement comprehensive preventative maintenance programs.
• Ensure compliance with Hilton standards, safety regulations, and life-safety systems.
• Lead opening team activities, pre-opening readiness, and commissioning.
• Manage budget, vendor bids, and capital planning for the property.
