Twenty Four Seven Hotels is hiring a Chief Engineer - R&M in San Luis Obispo, CA. The role oversees CAPEX planning, preventive maintenance, and repairs across the hotel portfolio, ensuring brand standards and safety compliance.

The candidate will lead engineering teams, manage budgets, and coordinate with corporate leadership to deliver reliable operations. The position requires HVAC-R and electrical/plumbing expertise, 6+ years of engineering/maintenance experience, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 6 years experience in engineering/maintenance or related area; technical training in HVAC-R/Electrical/Plumbing
• Must have a valid driver’s license and ability to drive between locations
• Ability to manage expense budgets, payroll and capital expenses
• Service oriented with professional presentation skills
• Proven leadership skills
• Energetic, entrepreneurial, motivational leader with strong communication and customer service focus
• Able to understand and evaluate complex information/data to meet objectives
• Clear written and verbal communication in English
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; comfortable with presentation platforms

Responsibilities

• Leads the development, maintaining and execution of a 5 year CAPEX plan for each property.
• Develops yearly CAPEX budget recommendations with Corporate Director of Engineering.
• Conducts quarterly engineering inspections and follows up with action plans.
• Becomes a subject matter expert with Quore platform focusing on preventive maintenance and work orders.
• Support properties with obtaining quotes for repairs as needed.
• Oversee repairs on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, boilers, water treatment, and life safety systems.
• Maintain building operations across portfolio including structure, systems and equipment.
• Develop and manage preventative maintenance programs using Quore; enforce policies.
• Maintain communications with property leaders and corporate staff; respond to emergencies.
• Develop SOPs to support hotel maintenance tasks.
