Job summary

Hyatt Hotels Corporation is seeking a Chief Engineer responsible for the overall maintenance and upkeep of our hotel properties, overseeing all maintenance projects and ensuring preventative maintenance is completed timely and accurately. This role directs all maintenance staff and collaborates with the General Manager and Operations Manager to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications

HS Diploma or equivalent.
2+ years of repair/maintenance experience preferred.
Technical licenses such as HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing are helpful.

Responsibilities

Maintain hotel, pool, and surrounding area, performing minor and routine maintenance tasks using hand tools.
Oversee maintenance projects and ensure preventative maintenance is completed timely and accurately.
Direct all maintenance staff and assign responsibilities when needed.
Coordinate with General Manager and Operations Manager to ensure a smooth operation.
Notify management concerning major repairs or additions to lighting, heating, and ventilating equipment.
Respond to guest requests for service per company policy.
Program phone equipment according to hotel needs.
Observe equipment and utility meter readings on a daily basis.
Maintain files of Material Safety Data Sheets.
Ensure par stocking of regularly used parts and supplies.
Other duties as assigned by the leader.
