Job summary

Residence Inn Salt Lake City Murray is seeking a Hotel Chief Engineer to lead maintenance and repairs across the property, ensuring guest comfort and safety. You will manage preventive programs, oversee in-house projects, and supervise contractors while maintaining infrastructure standards.

The role requires hands-on experience in hotel maintenance, strong problem-solving skills, and a track record of supervising teams and managing budgets.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of hotel, building, apartment, or similar maintenance experience.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage projects from inception to completion.
• Supervisory experience.
• Experience in preventative maintenance and repairs of mechanical, electrical, plumbing systems.
• When applicable, experience operating and maintaining a commercial pool.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance programs and repairs for equipment, guest rooms, and property infrastructure.
• Oversee minor repairs on mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and other building systems.
• Manage in-house projects by gathering proposals, coordinating schedules, ensuring quality control, managing budgets, and resolving issues.
• Secure and supervise outside contractors for complex equipment and building repair needs, ensuring work meets safety and quality standards.
• Preserve the property's exterior appearance, including landscaping, lawn care, and upkeep of parking areas. If applicable, maintain the pool and spa in compliance with policies, brand standards, and codes.
