Job summary

Residence Inn by Marriott Pittsburgh Monroeville/Wilkins Township is seeking a dynamic Hotel Chief Engineer to lead maintenance and engineering operations across all hotel facilities. You will supervise the maintenance team, implement CMMS-driven maintenance programs, and oversee HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems to ensure safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• Experience leading maintenance teams in hospitality or manufacturing.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with electrical experience (high/low voltage).
• Experience with HVAC, electrical, plumbing systems.
• Familiarity with CMMS and scheduling for preventive maintenance.
• Ability to read schematics and technical manuals and troubleshoot industrial equipment.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and building codes relevant to facilities management.
• Excellent English communication and coordination with vendors and stakeholders.
• Proven ability to manage large facility projects from planning to execution.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the maintenance team to ensure timely repairs and preventive maintenance across all hotel facilities.
• Develop and implement maintenance programs using CMMS to track work orders and asset management.
• Oversee operation and troubleshooting of HVAC systems, electrical circuits (high/low voltage), plumbing, and mechanical equipment.
• Manage projects related to facility upgrades, renovations, or new installations with strong project management practices.
• Ensure safety compliance by conducting regular inspections of electrical systems, industrial machinery, and building infrastructure.
• Utilize ohmmeters for electrical diagnostics and PLCs for automation systems troubleshooting.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, safety inspections, and equipment performance to support continuous improvement initiatives.
