Foodbuy in Charlotte, NC, is hiring a Category Development Manager - Disposables for a hybrid role. You will lead category strategies, manage supplier relationships, and align business plans with customer needs while delivering purchasing income opportunities.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years in supply chain or related fields, with strong negotiation, presentation, and data analysis skills. Travel up to 5% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.
• Minimum of 4 years’ experience in supply chain, category, finance, or ESG related field.
• Strong negotiations experience
• Presentation experience
• Ability to extract insights from complex data sets using advanced Excel skills
• Ability to influence through direct and indirect teams
• Knowledge / experience of budgets and forecasting
• High proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word & PowerPoint
• Up to 5% travel annually

Responsibilities

• Own and drive category strategy or category member strategy for assigned categories delivering strong financial results, improvement opportunities and recommendations.
• Prepare analyses, communicate sourcing trends, and present results.
• Responsible for system catalog clean-up audits to ensure mapping accuracy.
• Research current state and future needs, analysis of market trends and potential suppliers, and identification of continuous improvement opportunities.
• Participate in vendor management — performance against contract and resolutions of constraints.
• Responsible for system data integrity, category data needs, liaison with cross-functional groups to ensure manage term sets so that pricing and volume allowances released to distributors is accurate.
• Manage business relationships with key internal stakeholders and external suppliers including ownership and enhancements to agreements, communication of demand/volume changes, updating contracts and sharing end-user feedback.
• Ownership of required internal processes including budgeting, contract attributes, benchmarking, pricing, product recommendations, etc.
