Highgate Hotels in Louisville is seeking a Breakfast Attendant to deliver exceptional guest service in the complimentary breakfast area. You will greet guests, ensure cleanliness, stock areas, and support beverage and food service across departments.

Qualifications

• Attention to detail, accuracy and speed in tasks.
• Able to work evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Must be of legal age to serve alcohol and pass TIPs training.
• Must obtain Food Handlers card as required by jurisdiction.
• Able to evaluate options quickly and act decisively in varied situations.
• Maintain composure in stressful situations while providing friendly service.
• Understanding of hotel products and guest services.
• Communicate professionally on phones and with guests and staff.
• Maintain a positive attitude and service focus.
• Have basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service standards.
• Perform basic numerical operations and understand simple instructions in writing.

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive, friendly, courteous guest service.
• Greet and seat guests in a timely manner.
• Ensure cleanliness and appearance of breakfast areas and menus.
• Clear and reset tables and spaces per procedures and client requests.
• Keep service areas stocked, organized and clean; complete side work.
• Assist with beverage and food service tasks as needed, including dishwashing and restocking.
• Produce high quality drinks, coffee, tea and beverage requests as required.
• Coordinate with departments regarding VIP guests and special requests.
• Support other departments with beverage and food service tasks as needed.
• Complete cashiering, closing checks and end-of-shift paperwork.
