Job summary

Highgate Hotels in Rochester, NY seeks a Breakfast Attendant to deliver exceptional service in the complimentary breakfast area of Homewood Suites Rochester. Responsibilities include greeting guests, maintaining cleanliness, restocking items, and assisting with beverage and food service.

Qualified candidates will have a High School diploma or equivalent, flexibility to work evenings/nights/weekends/holidays, and ability to communicate professionally.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; experience in hotel or related field preferred.
• Must be able to work a varied schedule including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Must meet legal age to serve alcohol and pass serving course such as TIPs as required by property.
• Ability to read, comprehend and write simple instructions and memos.

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive, friendly, courteous service to guests in the breakfast area.
• Greet guests and seat them at appropriate tables as needed.
• Ensure clean, well-stocked breakfast area and assist with side work.
• Maintain standard of service and knowledge of menus and daily specials.
• Assist with beverage and food service, including coffee and tea drinks.
• Perform opening/closing procedures and cash handling as required.
