Are you an early riser? We are currently hiring for a part-time Breakfast Attendant at our SpringHill Suites by Marriott hotel, located in Uptown Charlotte. The person hired for this position will work 5am-11am; weekday and rotating weekend availability is required. Complimentary parking is provided.

PRIMARY PURPOSE: To prepare and serve the daily complimentary breakfast, greeting each guest and ensuring that guests are 100% satisfied.

Responsibilities:

1. Provides personalized service to all guests
2. Sets up and maintains the breakfast buffet in an attractive, organized, clean, and standardized presentation
3. Takes inventory of food, beverages, and supplies needed each day
4. Collaborates with management on purchasing needs
5. Prepares foods such as cut fruit, coffee, and juices from concentrates
6. Uses industrial kitchen equipment to heat and cook hot breakfast items
7. Stocks coffee, juice, and milk in machines or dispensers
8. Sets up serving dishes/trays, utensils, cups, and other paper products
9. Sets out/arranges cold food such as sweet rolls, muffins, and cereal for self-service
10. Clears and cleans tables as they are vacated
11. Wipes up spills
12. Removes trash
13. Restocks self-service food and supplies as needed
14. Washes serving equipment and returns to proper storage area
15. Returns reusable food supplies to storage

Qualifications:

1. A minimum of 1 year of related experience working in a customer-facing position
2. Ability to arrive on time and work the early morning shift (breakfast area must be set up by 6 AM)
3. Professional appearance and communication skills
4. Strong interpersonal skills to engage with guests and staff
5. ServSafe Certification preferred
6. Ability to multitask and prioritize
7. Basic math, reading, and writing skills
8. Effective written and oral communication skills
9. Knowledge of industrial kitchen equipment, cleaning, and food prep

Job Setting and Physical Demands: Employees work indoors in a customer-facing environment. Must be able to walk, stand, bend, and lift up to 25 pounds. Fluency in English required.
