Job summary

Moxy San Diego Downtown is seeking an energetic bartender to be the face of a vibrant Gaslamp social space. You will greet guests, recommend drinks and bites, craft cocktails, and deliver hospitable service to hotel guests and locals alike.

You should thrive in a fast-paced setting, be attentive to guest needs, and have strong knowledge of beverages, food pairings, and responsible alcohol service. Flexible scheduling may be required.

Qualifications

• Highly motivated team player with strong initiative and desire for achievement.
• Ability to handle problems in the workplace including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary.
• Excellent guest service mindset in a fast-paced hotel bar environment.
• Respect for local health and safety regulations and responsible alcohol service.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and create a welcoming atmosphere at the bar.
• Recommend food and beverage offerings and prepare/serve cocktails and light bites.
• Receive beverage orders and coordinate with kitchen staff as needed.
• Maintain a well-stocked bar and uphold cleanliness and safety standards.
• Validate IDs and monitor beverage service for responsible consumption.
