Job summary

IHG Hotels & Resorts in Houston is seeking a team-oriented bartender's assistant to stock beverage supplies and support the Bartender in service. You will ensure timely replenishment of bar stock and maintain a clean, organized serving area.

Responsibilities include assisting with garnishes and drink preparation, coordinating with other departments to ensure guest satisfaction, and occasionally setting up buffet items during happy hour. Night, weekend, and holiday availability is required.

Qualifications

• Basic reading, writing and math skills.
• Alcohol awareness certification and/or food service permit or health/food handler card as required by local or state government.
• Must be able to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays.
• Handling, carrying, lifting, pushing or pulling items weighing up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Stock bar area with liquor, beer, wine, non-alcoholic drinks, ice, and supplies by following procedures; replenish as needed during shift.
• Clean beverage equipment, glasses and service areas; assist in clearing tables and cleaning work areas.
• Assist Bartender in garnishes and mixes preparation.
• Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication with other departments.
• May set-up and replenish appetizer or happy hour buffet, if applicable.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
