Job summary

The Barback at Aramark in Houston supports bartenders by stocking, cleaning, and transporting supplies to ensure smooth service for guests. You will help with opening/closing duties, inventory transfers, and maintaining a clean, well-stocked bar area.

Ideal candidates bring guest service skills, the ability to work in a fast-paced setting, and a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends. Physical stamina is required for standing, lifting, and moving stock throughout shifts.

Qualifications

• Previous food service experience preferred.
• Demonstrates excellent guest service skills, ability to prioritize and accomplish tasks quickly.

Responsibilities

• Assists with opening and closing duties, such as restocking the bar with garnishes, straws, and napkins, ensuring that bartenders have clean towels, glassware, etc.
• Delivers product and uses transfer sheets to maintain inventory integrity
• Cleans, sanitizes, and maintains appearance of workstations and guest service areas
• Ensures bar is well-stocked with ice, liquor, wine, and beer
• Checks taps and appliances to ensure that they are working properly and changing out kegs
• Keeps the bar clean by wiping down surfaces, sweeping and mopping, removing soiled glassware, scrubbing coolers and storage areas, and emptying trash receptacles
• Maintains excellent guest service and a positive demeanor towards guests, customers, clients, co-workers, etc.
• Adheres to Aramark safety policies and procedures including proper food safety and sanitation
• Ensures security of company assets
