Job summary

IHG Hotels & Resorts is seeking a bar/food service associate in Houston to provide fast and courteous service for beverages and food while upholding presentation standards. You will greet guests, take orders, prepare drinks, and coordinate with different departments to ensure a memorable guest experience.

The role requires you to monitor alcohol service, ensure safety, and maintain clean, organized bar areas. Flexibility to work nights and weekends is essential.

Qualifications

• Basic reading, writing and math skills.
• Food and bar service experience with general knowledge of restaurant and bar operations.
• Knowledge of alcoholic beverages is preferred.
• Must meet state legal age requirements.
• Must speak fluent English.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and take beverage and food orders in a prompt and professional manner.
• Prepare beverages for service and present according to standards.
• Monitor guest behavior and manage alcohol service per policy; report incidents to management.
• Set up bar with liquor, mixers, ice, garnishes, and supplies; perform pre-/post-shift duties.
• Inventory liquor and beverages and ensure proper security at close.
