Job summary

McKibbon Hospitality is seeking a Banquet Server to support event setup, service, and breakdown. You will assist in presenting attractive displays, replenishing stations, and maintaining cleanliness while addressing guest needs and special dietary requests.

The role requires lifting up to 30 lbs, flexible hours including weekends/holidays, and knowledge of alcohol service guidelines. Experience in banquet/catering service and a Florida-serving permit is preferred; training and benefits are

Qualifications

• Be available for events as scheduled with proper notice; hours vary by business needs.
• Banquet bartending experience preferred; banquet/catering server experience preferred.
• The ability to work a flexible schedule, including shift work, weekends, and holidays.
• The legal ability to serve alcohol in the State of Florida.
• Knowledge of state and local alcohol service guidelines.
• Food safety certification and/or alcohol service training recommended.
• Ability to lift trays weighing up to 30 lbs on a regular basis.

Responsibilities

• Prepare tables, carts, stations with appropriate food and beverages as per Banquet Event Order.
• Communicate dietary needs and special requests to the kitchen; ensure courses are cleared and tables cleaned.
• Set up and maintain attractive food displays, stock service areas and replenish items as needed.
• Bus tables, remove and separate tableware, and assist with bar atmosphere.
• Respond to guest requests and support event setup, service and breakdown.
• Monitor cleanliness and sanitation of assigned station and service areas.

What Makes a McKibbon Banquet Server?The hotel Banquet Service is responsible for preparing coffee breaks, carts, and stations with appropriate food and beverages as stated in Banquet Event Order. Prepare tables, action stations, buffets, service carts, dessert table/carts and cordial carts. Communicate additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the kitchen. Ensure courses are cleared and tables are properly cleaned. Respond to and try to fulfill any special banquet event arrangements. Replenish buffet items to ensure consistency and freshness in presentation. Monitor tableware to ensure it is presentable to guests. Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned station and service areas.
