Collegiate Hotel Group is seeking an Assistant Housekeeping Manager to join the Graduate by Hilton Ann Arbor and its team of hospitality enthusiasts.

This role oversees scheduling, inspections, staff development, and inventory, ensuring brand standards and guest satisfaction while coordinating with maintenance and management.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; post high school education preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years in housekeeping leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Schedule room and cleaning assignments to ensure coverage; supervise housekeeping staff.
• Perform housekeeping duties including making beds, vacuuming, and cleaning.
• Verify and update room status during shifts; inspect rooms for brand standards.
• Coach, counsel, and provide corrective action to staff as needed.
• Notify management of maintenance repairs in rooms or on property.
• Interview, hire, develop, and discipline direct employees.
• Conduct property walk and report deficiencies.
• Assist in scheduling staff and tracking time/attendance.
• Supervise staffing levels to meet guest service and financial objectives.
• Manage housekeeping inventory and supplies.

Collegiate Hotel Group®, is seeking an Assistant Housekeeping Manager to join the Graduate by Hilton Ann Arbor and its brilliant team of hospitality enthusiasts

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Schedules room and cleaning assignments to ensure propercoverage
• Performs all housekeeping duties necessary, including making beds, vacuuming,and cleaning
• Verifies and updates status of discrepant rooms throughout theshift
• Randomly selects assigned rooms to ensure cleanliness and inspects them to verify brand standards are being met.
• Coach, counsel, and provide corrective action to housekeeping associates on performance not meeting expectations and discrepancies found in rooms
• Notifies GM and/or Chief Engineer of maintenance repairsnecessary in rooms or on property
• Interviews, hires, develops, and disciplines directemployees
• Perform property walk and report identified deficiencies
• Participates in scheduling employees to business demands and tracking employee time andattendance
• Supervises staffing levels to ensure that guestservice, operational needs, and financial objectives are met
• Manages Housekeeping inventory, ensuring that team has dedicated tools, supplies, and resources to complete assigned tasks and work.
• Other duties asassigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• High School Diploma/GED. Post high school education preferred
• Minimum of 2 years in housekeeping leadership experience

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Basic mathskills
• HMS and/or experience using a property management system (PMS)
• Microsoft Office experience
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and inwriting
