Collegiate Hotel Group is seeking an Assistant Housekeeping Manager for the Graduate by Hilton Ann Arbor location. You will schedule room assignments, supervise housekeeping staff, and ensure brand standards are met while controlling inventory and resources.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Schedules room and cleaning assignments to ensure proper coverage.
• Performs housekeeping duties including making beds, vacuuming, and cleaning.
• Verifies and updates status of discrepant rooms during shift.
• Inspects randomly assigned rooms to verify brand standards.
• Coaches and disciplines housekeeping associates on performance.
• Notifies management of maintenance repairs in rooms or on property.
• Interviews, hires, develops, and disciplines direct employees.
• Performs property walk and reports deficiencies.
• Schedules staff to meet business demands and tracks time/attendance.
• Supervises staffing levels to meet guest service and financial objectives.
• Manages housekeeping inventory and resources.

Collegiate Hotel Group®, is seeking an Assistant Housekeeping Manager to join the Graduate by Hilton Ann Arbor and its brilliant team of hospitality enthusiasts

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Schedules room and cleaning assignments to ensure proper coverage
• Performs all housekeeping duties necessary, including making beds, vacuuming, and cleaning
• Verifies and updates status of discrepant rooms throughout the shift
• Randomly selects assigned rooms to ensure cleanliness and inspects them to verify brand standards are being met.
• Coach, counsel, and provide corrective action to housekeeping associates on performance not meeting expectations and discrepancies found in rooms
• Notifies GM and/or Chief Engineer of maintenance repairs necessary in rooms or on property
• Interviews, hires, develops, and disciplines direct employees
• Perform property walk and report identified deficiencies
• Participates in scheduling employees to business demands and tracking employee time and attendance
• Supervises staffing levels to ensure that guest service, operational needs, and financial objectives are met
• Manages Housekeeping inventory, ensuring that team has dedicated tools, supplies, and resources to complete assigned tasks and work.
• Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• High School Diploma/GED. Post high school education preferr e d
• Minimum of 2 years in housekeeping leadership experience

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• HMS and/or experience using a property management system (PMS)
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
