Collegiate Hotel Group® , is seeking an Assistant Rooms Manager to join Graduate Auburn by Hilton and its brilliant team of hospitality enthusiasts.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assists Hotel Dept. Managers with interviewing, hiring, onboarding, developing and discipling direct employees
• Assists Dept. Managers with the creation of employee schedules in timely manner
• Assists Management with ordering of supplies
• Maintaining inventory and forecasting expenses according to budget and occupancy levels
• Verifies and updates status of discrepant rooms throughout the shift
• Inspects assigned rooms to ensure cleanliness and to verify brand standards are being met.
• Coach, counsel, and provide corrective action to associates on performance not meeting expectations and discrepancies found in rooms
• Notifies proper personnel of maintenance repairs necessary in rooms or on property
• Perform property walk and report identified deficiencies
• Participates in scheduling employees to business demands and tracking employee time and attendance
• Supervises staffing levels to ensure that guest service, operational needs, and financial objectives are met
• Manages Housekeeping and Front Office inventory, ensuring that team has dedicated tools, supplies, and resources to complete assigned tasks and work
• Acts as the “Service Champion” for the Front Office and creates a positive atmosphere for guest relations
• Assists with the coordination of the blocking of rooms for groups
• Monitors and ensures VIP arrivals are executed to highest standard
• Maintains current list of available rooms for walk situations
• Ensures staff communicates effectively with other hotel departments
• Interacts positively and professionally with guests to resolve issues
• Keeps track of rooms to ensure accurate status and readiness for check-in
• Ensures prompt and courteous service to guests
• Maintains productive relationship with Valet Parking provider
• Works nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• High School Diploma/GED. Post high school education preferred
• Minimum of 2 years in Hotel/ Hospitality leadership experience

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Basic math skills
• HMS and/or experience using a property management system (PMS)
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writingStrong leadership skills
• Ability to exceed expectations of guests and team members
