Job summary

Hilton Garden Inn Portland Airport in Portland, Maine is seeking an experienced Assistant General Manager to support the General Manager in day-to-day hotel operations and guest satisfaction. You will supervise staff, coordinate front desk, reservations and housekeeping, and ensure adherence to brand standards and budgets.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in hospitality management, excellent communication skills, and a flexible schedule to cover shifts across mornings to nights.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in hospitality, with managerial experience overseeing a team.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with guests and staff.
• Able to work onsite and full availability; flexible shifts.
• Experience with PMS/OTAs/POS and MS Outlook is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist General Manager in day-to-day hotel operations and guest service.
• Oversee Front Desk, Reservations, and Housekeeping as needed.
• Interface with guests daily and address concerns.
• Collaborate with department heads to maintain profitability.
• Coordinate with corporate for procedures and finance tasks.
• Support HR functions and staff development and retention.
