Job summary

The Chattanoogan Hotel, a Curio Collection by Hilton property, is seeking an experienced Assistant Chief Engineer to join our Engineering Team in Chattanooga, TN. This position reports to the Chief Engineer and supports daily operations to maintain a safe, efficient guest environment.

You will oversee a maintenance crew, lead preventive maintenance, troubleshoot HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and building systems, and coordinate scheduling, work orders, and vendor activity to ensure exceptional

Qualifications

• Experience as an Assistant Chief Engineer in hospitality.
• Ability to supervise a maintenance team and promote safety and teamwork.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Chief Engineer in overseeing daily operations of the Engineering Department.
• Lead and support maintenance team members while promoting safety, accountability, and teamwork.
• Perform and oversee preventive maintenance and repairs throughout the hotel.
• Troubleshoot HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and building systems.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests, emergencies, and guest needs.
• Assist with scheduling, work orders, vendor coordination, and departmental projects.
• Help ensure compliance with safety standards, brand requirements, and company policies.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and well-functioning property that exceeds guest expectations.
