Job summary

Ascent Hospitality is seeking an energetic Area Sales Manager to support our Montgomery-area hotels. This onsite role drives revenue, develops new business, and strengthens relationships with corporate clients, groups, and travel partners across our Montgomery properties.

You will conduct sales calls, site tours, and networking events, maintain a robust sales pipeline, and collaborate with General Managers to achieve revenue targets in a dynamic market.

Qualifications

• Experience in hotel sales or business development is preferred.
• Ability to build relationships and generate new business.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; confident presenting and negotiating.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute sales strategies to drive revenue and occupancy.
• Identify and pursue new business in local and surrounding markets.
• Build relationships with corporate clients, group accounts, meeting planners, travel partners, and community organizations.
• Conduct sales calls, client visits, networking, site tours, and outreach.
• Maintain an active sales pipeline and follow up on leads.
• Promote hotel services, meeting spaces, and group accommodations.
• Collaborate with General Managers to achieve sales and revenue goals.
• Monitor local market trends and competitor activity.
• Maintain accurate sales activity and reporting.
• Represent Ascent Hospitality professionally in the community.

Salary Range: $55,000 – $65,000 annually (Compensation is commensurate with experience, qualifications, and overall background).

This onsite position is responsible for driving revenue, developing new business, strengthening client relationships, and growing group, corporate, and local market opportunities across our Montgomery-area hotels.

What You Will Do:

• Represent Ascent Hospitality and its hotels professionally within the community.

What we are looking for:

• Previous hotel sales, hospitality, business development, or related sales experience preferred.
• Proven ability to develop relationships and generate new business.
• Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Results-driven with strong follow-up and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with hotel leadership.
• Strong knowledge of the local Montgomery market is a plus.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and sales/CRM systems preferred.
• Ability to travel locally for sales calls, networking events, client meetings, and property visits as needed.
