Job summary

HEI Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Night Auditor for the Sheraton Parsippany to bill and collect revenue accurately and timely in line with accounting policies. You will assist the Controller in directing hotel financial activities, safeguarding assets, and preparing reports per GAAP.

Responsibilities include reconciling city ledger payments, posting in the PMS, reconciling credit card backups, and maintaining neat ledgers. Regular attendance and other duties as assigned complete the role.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Accounting or Hotel Management preferred.
• Experience in Hotel or Hospitality related Finance and Accounting.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to compile facts and figures.
• Ability to operate personal computer and calculator.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to adapt communication style to suit different audiences.

Responsibilities

• Sort and verify Night Audit work, including reconciliation of banquet checks.
• Post city ledger payments in the property management system and reconcile city ledger accounts.
• Reconcile credit card backups to General Cashier Summary and log discrepancies.
• Set up new accounts per established credit policy.
• Assist in reconciling open account status items.
• Input General Cashier Summary and maintain binder.
• File and distribute credit card cancellations, bulletins and credit warnings.
• Record General Ledger and City Ledger reconciliations.
• Attend regularly and perform other duties as assigned.
