Job summary

Sheraton Parsippany Hotel in Parsippany, NJ is seeking an Account Receivable professional to bill and collect revenue in line with accounting policies and HEI standards. You will support the Controller and manage city ledger and credit card reconciliations.

The role requires a BS in Accounting or Hotel Management, hospitality finance experience, and strong organizational and communication skills. On-site with benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) and hotel staff discounts.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Accounting or Hotel Management preferred.
• Experience in Hotel or Hospitality related Finance and Accounting.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to operate personal computer and calculator.

Responsibilities

• Sort and verify Night Audit receivables, reconciling banquet extensions and cost allocations.
• Post city ledger payments in the property management system and bill accounts.
• Perform follow-up billing and credit collection documentation for uncollectible accounts.
• Reconcile credit card backups to relevant summaries and address discrepancies.
• Set up new accounts per established credit policy.
• Record General Ledger and City Ledger reconciliations.
