Qualifications

• Previous accounting in the hospitality industry preferred.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including advanced skills in Excel.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and perform hotel accounting functions and personnel to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
• Plan and organize the work of the hotel accounting team to meet reporting deadlines.
• Review ledger account reconciliations, including bank statements, assets, liabilities and credit cards.
• Oversee internal audit standards and sign disbursement checks.
• Coordinate and review monthly financial statements for accuracy and provide insights on variances.
• Monitor payroll functions in coordination with corporate accounting.
• Prepare depreciation schedules and oversee tax compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Assist with human resources needs when requested by management.
