As a key partner to hotel leadership, you will manage GL activity, budgets, forecasts, and audits, while guiding the accounting team to maintain accuracy and compliance.

Qualifications

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee the day-to-day accounting and financial operations of a full-service hotel. This position will work closely with hotel leadership to ensure accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and efficient accounting processes.

The ideal candidate has previous hotel or hospitality accounting experience and a strong understanding of hotel financial operations.

Key Responsibilities

• - Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and cash management
• - Prepare and review monthly financial statements and account reconciliations
• - Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes
• - Monitor hotel revenues, expenses, and departmental financial performance
• - Prepare financial reports, forecasts, and variance analyses for hotel leadership
• - Maintain accurate balance sheet reconciliations
• - Oversee daily revenue reporting and ensure proper posting of hotel transactions
• - Assist with annual budgeting and forecasting
• - Maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with company accounting policies
• - Support internal and external audits
• - Work closely with department heads regarding budgets, expenses, and financial performance
• - Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and financial controls
• - Assist hotel leadership with special financial projects as needed

Qualifications

• - 3 years of accounting experience, preferably within the hotel or hospitality industry
• - Previous experience as an Accounting Manager, Assistant Director of Finance, Assistant Controller, or similar role preferred
• - Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting, financial statements, reconciliations, and month-end close
• - Experience with hotel accounting systems and property management systems preferred
• - Excellent organizational and analytical abilities
• - Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced hotel environment
• - Strong communication skills and attention to detail
• - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred
