Job summary

ARK is seeking an Accounting Manager to oversee daily accounting operations and focus on profitability within the hospitality sector. You will handle payroll processing, monthly forecasting, GL reconciliations, and yearly budgeting while ensuring internal controls and GAAP compliance.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in finance and at least three years of managerial experience, preferably in a full-service hotel environment.

Responsibilities

• Execute payroll audits monthly and provide paychecks to all employees.
• Produce monthly forecasts and annual budgets to support accounting operations.
• Analyze statements, balance sheets, income and expense accounts for accuracy and profitability.
• Track and record accounts receivable and manage accounts payable invoicing.
• Review revenue activity and reconcile general ledger accounts for discrepancies.

We seek a passionate, detail-oriented specialist who can monitor internal control systems and make necessary modifications that affect the hotel's bottom line by focusing on profitability. You will be in charge of payroll processing, monthly forecasting, reconciling general ledger accounts, and creating an annual budget. Our ideal candidate has a bachelor's degree in finance and at least three years of management experience, preferably in the hospitality industry.

Compensation:

$65,000 - $75,000 yearly

Qualifications

• Superior customer service skills, math skills, relationship skills, and communication skills are preferred
• Position requires a high school diploma or GED equivalent; degree in finance or related field is strongly preferred
• 3+ years of experience in the hospitality field, preferably in a full-service hotel
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with accounting software such as Quickbooks
• Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)

Responsibilities
