Overview

Are you a financial specialist capable of overseeing daily accounting operations while maintaining a strong focus on profitability? You might be the perfect candidate for our next accounting manager! We seek a passionate, detail-oriented specialist who can monitor internal control systems and make necessary modifications that affect the hotel's bottom line by focusing on profitability. You will be in charge of payroll processing, monthly forecasting, reconciling general ledger accounts, and creating an annual budget.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and track all accounts receivable, and create and control accounts payable invoicing
• Execute payroll audits monthly and provide paychecks to all employees
• Increase profitability by evaluating balance sheets, income, expense accounts, and recommended adjustments while preserving accuracy
• Produce monthly forecasts and annual budgets to assist day-to-day accounting procedures and operations
• Assess daily revenue activity to ensure accountability, balance general ledger accounts, and fix discrepancies or problematic accounts

Qualifications

• Skilled in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with QuickBooks or similar accounting software
• High school diploma or GED; degree in finance or related field strongly preferred
• Superior customer service, math, relationship, and communication skills preferred
• At least 3 years of previous work in hospitality, preferably in a full-service hotel
• Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)

Compensation
