Job summary

Talpa Supermercados is seeking a Hot Deli Product Development & Merchandising Manager to drive authentic, high-quality prepared foods across multiple Georgia and Tennessee stores. You will lead recipe development, testing, training, and merchandising programs that elevate the Hot Deli department and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Five or more years in restaurant operations, grocery deli, or fresh-food environments.
• At least two years training, coaching, or leading Hot Deli teams and cross-functional initiatives.
• Strong knowledge of prepared-food production, recipe development, costing, portions, yields, sanitation, allergens, and holding standards.
• Experience analyzing sales performance, profitability, waste, and customer feedback to drive improvements.
• Ability to create attractive product presentations, merchandising programs, training materials, and SOPs.
• Excellent organizational, communication, leadership, and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and launch new Hot Deli products, seasonal offerings, meal solutions, and menu enhancements.
• Improve recipes, cooking methods, portions, quality, freshness, flavor profiles, and production efficiency.
• Standardize recipes, ingredients, portions, yields, procedures, quality, and food safety guidelines across locations.
• Lead product testing, tastings, pilots, and new product launches.
• Create and implement merchandising standards, displays, layouts, and seasonal presentations to drive sales.
• Develop visual merchandising guides and best practices for product placement, freshness, labeling, and signage.
• Coach Hot Deli leaders and associates on food prep, safety, merchandising execution, and operational standards.
• Coordinate product rollouts, family meals, promotions across stores; analyze sales, margins, waste, and feedback to optimize results.
