Sprouts Farmers Market in Marietta, GA is seeking an Assistant Deli Manager to lead a busy deli team. You will oversee daily operations, merchandising, and staff development to ensure top-quality product and exceptional customer service in a fast-paced setting.

The role emphasizes team leadership, inventory control, and strict adherence to food safety standards while delivering a great shopping experience. A strong candidate enjoys helping customers make healthy choices.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 18 years old with 2 years of supervisory experience in deli or related food service.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Outgoing, friendly demeanor with customer focus.
• Proven leadership to motivate and develop the Deli team.
• Detail oriented with analytical and problem solving skills.
• Food Safety certification required.
• Knowledge of personnel reports, margin reports, weekly sales numbers and financial goals.
• Strong organization and planning skills.
• Ability to lift/carry up to 70 lbs. and stand up to 8 hours per shift.
• Operate slicers and wrapping/cooking equipment; ensure equipment safety.
• Willingness to perform other related duties.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Deli Manager in managing and merchandising the department for productivity and profit.
• Oversee ordering, inventory controls, product quality, and supervision of the Deli team.
• Coordinate production, merchandising, and sales through planning, direction, and teamwork.
• Help lead a team that delivers high quality products and best-in-class service.
• Participate in hiring, teaching, training, and developing the Deli staff.
• Unload deliveries, sort items, and operate deli equipment.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation guidelines and training of staff.
