Job summary

Idaho National Laboratory invites undergraduates in Mechanical Engineering to join the Hot Cell System Engineering group at the Materials and Fuels Complex (MFC) for a 4x10 onsite internship. Start date and duration vary by project and student availability.

The role focuses on designing remote-handling equipment for hot cells, troubleshooting equipment, and assisting with qualification testing in the mock-up shop.

Qualifications

• Undergrad junior/senior in a Mechanical Engineering program.
• Minimum overall GPA 3.0.
• Authorization to work in the U.S. (CPT/OPT).
• Current resume or CV.
• Unofficial transcripts to accompany application.
• Current class schedule and credits information.

Responsibilities

• Design remote-handling equipment for use in hot cells at MFC.
• Troubleshoot facility equipment.
• Assist with qualification testing in the mock-up shop.
