City of Arvada seeks a Host to create a welcoming atmosphere, greet guests, and manage seating and service handoffs. The role involves accurate wait times, friendly communication, and supporting staff during busy periods. Must be at least 16 with a High School/GED and good customer service instincts.
Availability includes nights and weekends. Pay rate is $15.16 per hour, with responsibilities spanning guest relations, dining room support, and adherence to sanitation standards.
A Host presents a positive first impression of the establishment's friendliness, excellent service and high standards. The Host also greets Guests upon arrival, informs Guests of their wait time, monitors a waiting list, enters Guest names into the computer system, shows Guests to their table and bids Guests farewell as they leave. A Host must be able to carry natural conversation with Guests without sounding scripted or intrusive. Additionally, the Host cares for our Guests by refilling beverages and performs light housekeeping duties such as cleaning glasses and menus and ensures restrooms are clean, stocked and orderly. As a member of an energetic team, the Host may also need to answer the phones and fill to-go orders when needed. Availability must include nights and weekends.
Pay Rate $15.16/hr
Must be at least 16 years of age.
Must pass a criminal background check and a driving record check, if required by the position and if over 18 years of age or older.
Minimal physical effort typically found in restaurant setting. May occasionally lift and carry light objects. Walking and/or standing as needed.
Marginal to moderate exposure to conditions that are unpredictable and may lead to injury.
Exposure to loud noise indoors.
