Position Summary

As the first smiling face our guests see, the Host/Hostess sets the tone for the entire dining experience. This role is all about creating a warm, welcoming, and organized environment from the moment a guest walks through the door. A great host balances hospitality with efficiency—managing reservations, coordinating seating, and ensuring the flow of service runs smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet guests with a warm, friendly, and professional demeanor.
• Manage reservations and waitlists using the restaurant’s system.
• Coordinate seating to maximize efficiency while maintaining an excellent guest experience.
• Communicate effectively with servers and managers about guest needs, table status, and flow of service.
• Answer phones, take reservations, and provide accurate wait time estimates.
• Assist with menus, special requests, and accommodating guest preferences.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and entrance area.
• Support the team during peak service hours to ensure smooth operations.
