Job summary

Ford's Garage is seeking a Host/Hostess (Vibe Setter) to warmly welcome guests, manage seating and phone inquiries, and ensure a friendly, efficient dining experience. You’ll be the face of the restaurant and help drive positive first impressions and guest satisfaction.

The role emphasizes energetic customer service, clear communication, and adherence to brand details. Flexibility, reliability, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential.

Qualifications

• Must possess or be able to obtain a valid food/alcohol certification as required by state law.
• Able to stand for 10 hours and lift at least 50 pounds.
• Good hearing for safety and accurate communication.
• Must be able to read, write and speak in English.
• Must have reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Being the welcome face of our restaurant by giving a positive and uplifting first and last impression to our guests, both in person and on the phone.
• Providing our guests with the highest level of service standards to create new and repeat business.
• Facilitate top-notch service in the restaurant with accurate communication with wait list quotes and efficient flow of guests through their dining experience.
• Being knowledgeable of all brand-related restaurant information, e.g. happy hour details or limited time offers.

The Vibe Setter is the face of our restaurant, and we take great pride in who we have representing us. The Host/Hostess welcomes and entertains guests in a warm, friendly manner to provide a positive first impression of service. They are responsible for managing the efficient and timely seating of our guests, answering the phones, call ahead seating, reservations, guest inquiries, and to go orders. You will ensure everyone who comes through our doors as a guest will leave as a friend by being your authentic self.
