Boreal Ridge Corporation seeks a Restaurant Host at Wildflower inside Snowbird. Seasonal (Winter Only) position with varying shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Airport or road closures may require occasional overnight stays. Housing is not provided.

The host will warmly greet and seat guests, manage waiting lists, and coordinate with servers to ensure a smooth dining experience. Must be 18+, hold a Food Handler Permit, and have 0-6 months of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet and seat guests warmly and efficiently.
• Manage guest flow with a waiting list or reservations.
• Call out table status and party numbers as tables become available.
• Provide menus and introduce guests to their server.
• Ensure proper table presentation before seating guests.
• Engage with guests to ensure satisfaction and comfort.
• Address complaints and help resolve issues with the team.
• Assist bussers and servers when needed.
• Communicate effectively with servers and managers.
• Thank guests as they exit the restaurant.

Location & Status

Wildflower, located inside the Iron Blosam at Snowbird. LOCATION: Seasonal (Winter Only). SCHEDULE: Shifts vary, may be morning or late evening, weekends, holidays, depending on business levels. THIS POSITION WILL NOT START UNTIL LATE NOVEMBER OR EARLY DECEMBER. Must be able to work any day of the week including weekends and holidays. EMPLOYEE HOUSING IS NOT AVAILABLE.

Summary

As a host you will facilitate exemplary dining experiences by warmly greeting and seating guests, using names when possible, and maintaining a smooth operation using a waiting list or reservation program.

What You Will Do

• Graciously great and seat guests
• Adjust flow of guests with a waiting list
• Call out name and party number when table becomes available
• Once guests are seated, gently pass out menus and state the name of their server
• Review each table for proper presentation before guests are seated
• Talk with guests to ensure they are satisfied with their dining experience
• Respond to complaints and help resolve issues with appropriate team members
• Assist bussers and/or servers when appropriate
• Communicate with servers and managers
• Thank guests as they exist the restaurant

What You Need To Get The Job Done

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 0-6 months of job-specific work experience with demonstrated competence.
• Must be 18+
• Food Handler Permit.
• Demonstrate competency in operating dish machines and chemicals
• Requires some exercise of judgement within policy guidelines and without supervisory approval.
• Requires problem solving and initiation of activities within job description and having a strong understanding of other Snowbird operations.

Schedule

Varies based on business needs Must be prepared to stay overnight, if necessary, on occasional times of road closures
