Host Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• A host’s duties primarily focus on ensuring that guests have a positive experience as soon as they walk through the door.
• Welcome customers with immediate warmth and ensure guests are seated and receive attentive service.
• Comfortably manage the flow of the dining room, help guests with reservations and maintain a waitlist of patrons during busy hours.
• Optimize seating at different tables to ensure an even workload for servers.
• Demonstrate leadership by displaying job expertise, initiative, a positive attitude and exemplary communication skills.
• Perform station opening, closing and side work duties for each shift and always check out with the manager on duty.
• Understand and embody the Bottega Louie lifestyle, mission and brand.

Compensation

• Top performers earn approximately $26.25 – $29.25/hour including tips (based on recent average sales data and depending on volume and performance).
• $20.25 of hourly compensation + $6.00 – $9.00 of tips (based on recent average top 25% of sales data).
• Tip pool participation subject to California Labor Code & Fair Labor & Standards Act.
• Paid vacation and sick time.
