Job summary

Hawksmoor in New York invites a dedicated Host / Maitre D to join our renowned restaurant team. You will help set up each service, manage reservations, and ensure a seamless dining experience for every guest.

Reporting to the Reservations Manager, you will uphold Hawksmoor standards, foster excellent guest relations, and collaborate with all departments to deliver hospitality at the highest level in a vibrant, high-energy environment.

• Experience working with reservation teams at top restaurants and bars in New York.
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to work harmoniously with all departments.
• Professionalism and excellent communication skills.
• Experience with restaurant systems, reservation, event platforms and technology.

Responsibilities

Host / Maitre D

Hawksmoor is located in an incredible restaurant space in New York: a beautiful National Historic Landmark built as The United Charities Building in 1893, with an incredible 30-foot ceilinged assembly hall that forms the main room of the restaurant. The location is just off Park Avenue South and north of the prestigious Gramercy Park and Union Square. The restaurant is 170 seats with a 50-cover bar.

Reporting to the Reservations Manager, we’re looking for hosts to join our team and support our restaurant in providing amazing service and unforgettable experiences.
