Job summary

Hawksmoor - NYC is seeking a Host / Maitre D to join a notable restaurant space in New York. You will be part of the host team, delivering Hawksmoor’s renowned hospitality and supporting reservation operations in a historic landmark setting.

The role requires excellent communication, professionalism, and the ability to coordinate with colleagues to ensure smooth service during peak hours at a 170-seat restaurant with a 50-cover bar.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality or restaurant hosting roles in busy NYC environments.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with guests and team members.
• Familiarity with reservation systems and event platforms is a plus.

Host / Maitre D

Hawksmoor is located in an incredible restaurant space in New York: a beautiful National Historic Landmark built as The United Charities Building in 1893, with an incredible 30-foot ceilinged assembly hall that forms the main room of the restaurant. The location is just off Park Avenue South and north of the prestigious Gramercy Park and Union Square. The restaurant is 170 seats with a 50-cover bar.

Reporting to the Reservations Manager, we're looking for hosts to join our team and support our restaurant in providing amazing service and unforgettable experiences.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

• Working within the host team and delivering excellent service and hospitality to the Hawksmoor standard.
• Responsible for the setting up and breaking down of each service on reservations.
• Excellent rapport with your colleagues and guests
• Ability to Maitre D to ensure smooth and successful services.
