Job summary

Bally's Evansville is seeking a friendly host to warmly welcome guests, learn the menu, promote promotions, and seat guests to ensure the best possible service in a fast-paced casino dining environment.

The role requires strong time management, clear communication, and a customer-focused mindset; you will work varied shifts, including holidays and weekends, and receive on-the-job training and employee benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or higher required.
• Experience in hospitality or customer service preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills essential.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests with a smile and personalized greeting.
• Acknowledge guests as they leave with appreciation.
• Maintain high standards of personal hygiene and appearance.
• Provide knowledgeable service about menu, promotions, and events.
• Seat guests to ensure optimal service.
• Answer telephone inquiries per company policies.
• Assist bussers with setting and clearing tables.

• Maintains a businesslike, professional attitude at all items.
• Has a working knowledge of the menu, promotions, special events, and other pertinent information.
• Seats guests in such a manner that they receive the best service possible.
• Answers telephone inquiries as per company policies.
• Helps bussers set and clear tables.
• Contributes to general housekeeping in such areas as the floor in foyer; windows/glass in front; host stand area; maintenance checklist; menus and menu covers.
• Knowledgeable of the company’s internal controls, policies, and procedures.
• Must be able to lift to 25 lbs.; and be able to push, pull, grasp, reach, stoop, bend, twist and climb up and down stairs.
• Ability to learn and utilize computerized reservation/seating/paging system. Must be able to learn and operate a Point-of-Sale system.
• Must be able to stand and walk for prolong periods of time (7+ hours).
• Must be able to understand and communicate in English.
• Comply fully with the company’s safety policies and procedures.
• Always follow the Company Service Standards model.
• Must be available for regularly scheduled work and be able to work a variety of hours, holidays, and weekends.
• Other duties may be assigned at any time.

The Casino industry is a 24 Hour 365-day operation. This position will primarily be indoors under controlled temperatures. Occasional exposure to outdoor climates.

Target Salary Range:
