Job summary

Bally's Corporation in Evansville, IN is seeking an upbeat Host/Hostess to greet guests, manage seating, and support guest services. You will learn the menu, promotions, and events to assist guests and uphold service standards. You may operate the reservation/seating system and POS, while maintaining a polished appearance.

The role requires standing for long periods, a friendly, professional demeanor, and availability for varied hours, including holidays and weekends.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift to 25 lbs and perform light physical tasks.
• Must be able to stand and walk for 7+ hours.
• Must be able to learn and operate a Point-of-Sale (POS) system.
• Must be able to understand and communicate in English.
• Must be available for regularly scheduled work including holidays and weekends.

Responsibilities:

• Maintains a businesslike, professional attitude at all items.
• Has a working knowledge of the menu, promotions, special events, and other pertinent information.
• Seats guests in such a manner that they receive the best service possible.
• Answers telephone inquiries as per company policies.
• Helps bussers set and clear tables.
• Contributes to general housekeeping in such areas as the floor in foyer; windows/glass in front; host stand area; maintenance checklist; menus and menu covers.
• Knowledgeable of the company’s internal controls, policies, and procedures.
• Must be able to lift to 25 lbs.; and be able to push, pull, grasp, reach, stoop, bend, twist and climb up and down stairs.
• Ability to learn and utilize computerized reservation/seating/paging system. Must be able to learn and operate a Point-of-Sale system.
• Must be able to stand and walk for prolong periods of time (7+ hours).
• Must be able to understand and communicate in English.
• Comply fully with the company’s safety policies and procedures.
• Always follow the Company Service Standards model.
• Must be available for regularly scheduled work and be able to work a variety of hours, holidays, and weekends.
• Other duties may be assigned at any time.

Work Environment:

The Casino industry is a 24 Hour 365-day operation. This position will primarily be indoors under controlled temperatures. Occasional exposure to outdoor climates.

Target Salary Range:

Hourly $13.00
