Job summary

The Daily Catch Waterfront is seeking a friendly host/hostess to join our team in Boston, MA. You will greet guests, manage seating and reservations, take to-go orders, and help ensure a positive dining experience. You’ll also help with dining room cleanliness and support the service team as needed.

We offer full- and part-time schedules, lunch and dinner shifts, and benefits for full-time staff. This role requires strong communication and a customer-focused approach in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Preferred: 1-year previous experience as a host in a high-volume restaurant/bar
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and customer service skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks at once
• Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 25pounds
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Responsibilities

• Greet customers as they arrive and seat them at their tables
• Manage the waitlist and reservations, calling to confirm reservations
• Provide customers with menus and answer any questions they may have
• Maintain the cleanliness of the restaurant, including the reception area and dining room
• Ensure that tables are cleared and cleaned promptly
• Handle customer inquiries and complaints with professionalism
• Work closely with the kitchen and servers to ensure that guests receive prompt service
• Assist with opening and closing duties, including cleaning and restocking supplies
• Provide excellent customer service at all times
